MET GALA 2015 FAVORITES

Now of course you have to give credit when its due.... Beyoncé SLAAYYYYEDD last night okay? It was everything, the true meaning of fashionably late. BUT, lets be completely honest here how many times have we all seen this look from Bey and other celebrities? This trend is very popular and has been for many seasons now, the trend I'm referring to is the "barely there" trend, beautiful gowns mostly of fine netting with crystals or lace covering the body parts that don't need to see the sun. We've seen it on Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and countless other celebs. But of course Beyoncé knows how to do it just right.

But my favorite would have to be the beautiful Rihanna. These woman could wear a trash bag and still give me life. This A M A Z I N G Guo Pei robe was designed by one woman and took 2 years to make. Seeing as though the theme of this years ball was dedicated to Chinese fashion it was only right that she came out in this wonderfull robe. Plus Rih Rih has already done the "barely there" trend dresses...remember when everyone was giving her the blues because you could almost see her nipples even though they were perfectly covered in Swarovski crystals honey.

Now.. on to the men!! I might not be a major fan of Justin Bieber but he has definitely grown up over the last few years and cleans up very well I might I had. I absolutely loved his all black suit paired with this amazingly textured custom jacket from Balmain, again acknowledging the Chinese theme with the gold dragon detail in the sleeves.

And lastly my male favorite Michael B. Jordan!!! This suit THIS SUIT. Another amazingly textured suit, floral detailed by Dolce & Gabbana Alla Sartoria. This suit looks amazing on him, he cleans up oh so well! Besides the fact that he's a great actor and I love him, I really enjoyed him in this suit. I am all here for stepping away from the traditional black tuxedo, even though I'm sure he would kill that too.

Can I just have this life!? Now listen.. I don't want they relationship or well relationSHIT lol, but I just want to be front at a fashion show with my bae! IN A FUR!!! Yasss this picture gives me LIFE. And it's at the Michael Costello fashion show for fashion week and I just love ALL of his pieces, if you're not familiar with this designer he designed Beyoncé's beautiful dress for the Grammys in 2014. Soon I'll post about the shows I liked the most. And give me about 5 or 6 years you'll see me front row at one of them too! Just wait on it. #speakingitintoexstience

So it's only right that I mention Kanye's fashion show tonight. Now though I wouldn't make any purchases of the clothes or his new shoes, I respect the passion behind it. In Kanye style of course it is very different, nothing like what you would see in most stores. This line is what most would describe as avant garde. What I pray, wish and hope is that we don't see any imitations of the clothing. Please don't walk around with pantyhose exposed you guys PLEASE! I did LOVE the seeing the front row filled with big names especially Anna Wintour!!

Grammy 2015 (male) favorite

Is that Childish Gamino, I mean Donald Glover....IN A SUIT?!?! Being a fan of Mr. Glover who watches his music videos and interviews, this image is jaw dropping. Love his scruffy, care free look..you know most of the time, but the boy knows who to clean up. This suit looks amazing on him the oxfords still give me the Childish Gamino, hippy old man style that I'm so use to seeing him in. A lot of my favorite artist looked amazing last night but Donald takes the cake because I don't know if we'll see him like this again anytime soon.

Grammy 2015 Favorite

NICKI, NICKI, NICKI... MISS ONIKA HONEY!(Snaps in a Z shape) Nicki Minaj is just so gorgeous. She looked absolutely amazing on the red carpet last night in her Tom Ford dress and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. This new natural Nicki gives me life. Her makeup was flawless very natural and simple, along with her hair sleeked backed to show of her beautiful features. This lovely Tom Ford dress showed off her "to die for" curves in an elegant way, as well as showing her playful side at the skirt. Nicki never fails to impress me.

Just lil old me

Just a small introduction about myself. The name is Kayla, I spell it all funny to make my common name a little different. I am a sophomore at the University of North Texas. Recently changed my major from Fashion Merchandising to Journalism with a minor in fashion merchandising. My dream is to become a celebrity male stylist, unfortunately though I've learned that the degree I was pursing is not necessary for my career, experience is the most important in seeking a career as a stylist. See UNT has a great fashion merchandising program for those who want to be a buyer. Now I have nothing against buyers but working with numbers all day would drive me completely insane. My major change may seem drastic but I've always liked to write and I could still work in the fashion industry like I've always dreamed. With this blog I want to expand my writing skills as well as show case my styling skills. Ooh and of course meet new interesting people.
